April – what a month! My extended 2-month overseas business trip finally ended two days ago.
Ever wondered what it’s like to work in a factory in China? It’s TOUGH. For the past two months, like most of the employees in the factory, I’ve been working 12 hours a day, 6-7 days a week. For most people working there, work is their entire life. They live in the factory-provided dorm (for free), eat all the three meals in the factory(also for free), and work almost all the time while they are awake. I’m glad now I can have a good rest (well I still need to work but not that crazy) and spend more time on the things that I enjoy doing besides working, like hiking, blogging, reading personal finance blogs, etc.
If it’s your first time reading this series, I joined Yakezie Challenge back in August 2015 with hopes of reaching Alexa ranking of 200,000 within six months. As usual, below is my summary for the past month.
Alexa Ranking Change
My Alexa ranking dropped in April, from last month‘s 1,427,206 to 1,562,454 as of 5/1/2016. Actually my Alexa ranking continued to drop after that – at the time of writing this post, my ranking is 1,754,511. It’s not that surprising as I’ve been busy with work and the past week is the worst.
Since now I have more free time to work on my blog, hopefully this trend will reverse soon. [Read more…]
